FROM: HERE, TO: THERE Sydney 2024 Event Terms & Conditions 

(“Terms”) 

By registering for and attending the From Here to There Sydney 2024 event and participating in event activities, such as polls, trivia and/or networking (collectively the “Event”), I hereby agree to release and hold harmless Intuit Inc. (“Intuit” or “Event Host”), its subsidiaries, employees, vendors, agents, service providers, and contractors from any and all alleged and/or actual liability, claims, actions, lawsuits, damages, or losses, of any kind (“Claim”) which may arise out of or result from my registration, attendance at, and/or involvement in the Event.   

 

Publicity Release: 

I understand that Event Host or its authorized representatives may conduct interviews and may capture statements, photos and/or videos of me during the Event. 

I hereby grant to the Event Host and its authorized representatives the absolute right and permission to use my name, initials, likeness, profile or biographical information, company, organization or firm name, voice, statements made, content of any interview, image and/or photograph and any other indicia of persona (“Persona”), either alone or accompanied with other material, in any manner and in any media, throughout the world for trade, advertising, social and/or promotional purposes. 

I agree I shall have no rights of review or approval, no Claim to compensation, and no Claim arising out of or resulting from the use, alteration, blurring, distortion or illusionary effect (whether intentional or otherwise) or use in any composite form of my Persona and agree to release and hold Event Host and its authorized representatives, including trusted service providers, harmless for any and all such use(s). 

I agree that any statements made by me are true and accurately reflect my honest opinion of and experience in the Event and/or Intuit’s products, services and programs and that I will promptly notify Intuit if my opinion changes and Intuit may opt, at its sole discretion, to cease using any materials with my Persona. 

 

Confidentiality

I agree that Intuit proprietary information may be shared with me, being information and related materials (written or oral):


1) belonging to Intuit and identified as confidential or proprietary and disclosed to me during , or in connection with, the Event relating to Intuit’s software programs and documentation, products and potential products and other technology-related information, specifications and uses of products and services; product research; marketing plans; and other significant business information; or 2) all information obtained by me from, or disclosed to me by, Intuit which may include (among other things)  information that (i) relates to my business, my finances and accounts, my business keeping practices, my opinions about  Intuit products; (ii) Intuit’s past, present or future research, development or business activities or the results from such activities or (iii) which Intuit has received from others and which Intuit is obligated to treat as confidential or proprietary,

(“Intuit Proprietary Information”)

 

I agree to hold Intuit Proprietary Information in confidence and I will not use or disclose Intuit Proprietary Information except as may be authorized by Intuit inwriting. I further agree that I will not remove any copyright or trademark notice, or other indication of confidentiality on the Intuit Proprietary Information; and I will not use or refer to any non-public name used by Intuit (including company, URLs, product and service names) for any purpose. Intuit Proprietary Information will  not include information previously known to me or publicly disclosed without breach of an obligation of confidentiality, either prior or subsequent to my receipt of such information.

 

Use of Your Information: 

I understand that information provided in the Event registration form may be used by Event Host or shared with Intuit’s trusted service providers who provide the functionality of the Event experience to distribute or send any Event materials via post, email or other shipment methods and as may be applicable, continuing education credits earned at Event.

 

I acknowledge that Intuit will use and maintain my personal data according to the Intuit Global Privacy Statement here and https://www.intuit.com/privacy/statement/, in connection with the Event. 

I agree that Event Host may use my email address to send Event updates, invitations to offers and promotions (e.g., drawings or giveaways), or survey evaluations. The Event Host may also use my email address to send marketing-related messages and invitations to future Intuit events. You may unsubscribe from our emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails.  For more information, please review our privacy statement. 

I understand I am responsible for updating my profile preference (e.g., name, company, job title), and I can cancel my registration at any time. 

 

Intuit Policy: 

Furthermore, I agree to comply with Event Host’s policy that attendee information made available to me pre/during/post Event will not be used by me for any marketing purposes; and that Intuit may, in its sole discretion: 

● reserves the right to deny attendance or registration to any individual or entity for any reason; 

● Close Event registration earlier than the posted deadline; and

● Change the Event program day and time.

 

Health and safety:

Intuit will continue to follow local and venue requirements for meeting safely, plus guidance from https://www.health.gov.au/topics/covid-19 as it relates to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.

Method of payment: You can make your payment by debit, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or Discover.
 

Registration policy:

Registration fees represent the cost of a single pass per person

Registration processing: All registrations will be processed by Swoogo. Because we are contracted with an external vendor, you will not be able to see your balance or payment amount when you log in to your Mailchimp account.

 

Cancellation policy:

Executed registration form, online registration and email confirmation constitute binding agreement between two parties. Registration fees are not refundable. No refunds are given for no-shows or cancellations. If you do not cancel prior to the end of the conference, you will be liable for the registration fee. 

 

Amego Events app privacy notice:

In association with attending one or more of our conferences, you will have the option to download the mobile app to help you navigate the conference and plan your agenda. Mailchimp has engaged a cloud service provider (Amego) to host the From Here To There Events app, which will allow conference delegates to view the agenda, including any last-minute updates to sessions, speaker biographies and venue navigation.

To access the app, conference delegates must download the From Here To There Events app on their mobile device, entering a unique event ID that Amego will send by email. Mailchimp shares with Amego event registrants’ contact information to allow event delegates to be authenticated when they access the web-based event app, and the custom features of the mobile app. More information about Amego privacy practices is available in its global privacy notice.

In the event that you elect to book a presentation session with an agency expert (by using the app or otherwise), you acknowledge and agree that any advice or materials provided to you, is provided “as is,” and that neither the agency expert nor Mailchimp provides any warranties, conditions, or undertakings of any kind in relation to it. Any advice or materials provided in connection to a presentation session is for general informational purposes only, and does not establish a business relationship between you and the agency partner or Mailchimp. You understand that the agency experts providing the advice to you are not employees or authorized agents of Mailchimp, and that by providing any advice or related resources to you, Mailchimp does not guarantee or endorse their services and accepts no liability for your reliance on such advice.  Limited sessions available.
 

Privacy notice:

We understand that you are aware of and care about your personal privacy interests, and we take that seriously. This privacy notice describes the Intuit policies and practices regarding its collection and use of your personal data and sets forth your privacy rights. We acknowledge that information privacy is an ongoing responsibility, and so we will, from time to time, update this privacy notice as we undertake new personal data practices or adopt new privacy policies.
 

Badge printing at registration:

Intuit uses Swoogo to provide badge printing services for those attending the conference. Your information will be shared with Swoogo for the purpose of printing your contact information on your name badge. A name badge is required to gain access to conference sessions and networking.
 

Photography/Video

You should be aware that Intuit will be taking photographs and video in public areas of the conference (session rooms, exhibit hall, reception, public spaces etc.). We may use such media in marketing materials, educational products and publications. Your image and the sound of your voice may be recorded. If you are identified during the recording or identify yourself by name, that information may be included in our materials. Recordings may be edited, copied, exhibited, published or distributed.
